About "GOTR" , Girls on the Run
Girls on the Run is a 501(c)3 non-profit and social emotional learning program dedicated to inspiring girls in 3rd-8th grade to be joyful, healthy and confident!
Our program is dedicated to inspiring girls to be joyful, healthy and confident while creatively integrating running. Each season concludes with a celebratory 5K event with all teams across the county!
Event History
The Gingerbread Dash is 'baking' dreams come true as a companion race to the annual Candy Cane Dash in Frederick, MD. The elves are bringing the holiday spirit to downtown Hagerstown for it's 3rd year!
The Gingerbread Dash is open to all and we hope that you dress festively for the occasion!
Event Highlights
Start and finish at the Flying Boxcar stadium! That's right the elves are partnering with Meritus Park for a sweet holiday 5K for the whole family!
Event is open to the public, not just Girls on the Run participants. Run. Walk. Roll your way across the finish line. This event is accessible.

Packet Pickup Events
There will be no early packet pick up. All registrants can stop by our race day packet pickup for their 5k race items.
Event merchandise will be mailed only to Virtual Gingerbread Dash registrants.
Event Giveaways
Each registrant will receive an event t-shirt. and medal.
Unisex sizing and women's sizing available. Must register before November 15, 2024 to receive your preferred shirt size.
